I'm interested...but don't plan it around my schedule...(haha we'd never play if you did). I'll try to join in if I can. Are you looking to play this week B-Shan? If so....saturday night seems ok right now, but that's the only night I have free this week. And I'm sure that something will fill that spot up soon.

I'm up for it too. Generally any night of the week but time difference between uk and USA could be a problem

<snip>... i'll host if need be (i have comcrap cable though, so lets use me as a last resort) if anybody's interested, say something =) ...<unsnip> Hi, I like the idea of playing for fun now and then. I still have the 7S-MiniServer and I booted it up. It seems to run. Brooke knows the server pass and Bshan, you're welcome to have access to it as well (ask Brooke, see if she recalls it after all this time). If the game crashes, it should restart, if it lags, then oh my, there's nothing I can do... Mods? I don't know, it's set to DS and IT for now. HX5 is available. Feel free to log in and check it out. IP: 69.250.99.32 If it says nothing... click JOIN anyway, it's there, just firewalled... Chowder anyone?

I'd play, but timezones would be against me. As would speaking a funny language on comms that Brooke can't understand...

I had forgotten about Brooke on comms. She's a hoot, all exciteable. That usually gets me killed, but I've noticed that when she is quiet I also get killed.
Comms weren't brought up - I forgot what to do about comms. We used an old version of Vent that isn't limited by the current version license rules. I guess there is Teamspeak or something. Hosting that would make me scratch my head to figure ports and setup stuff. Volunteers?
Lep and I were on from about 2:30am - 3:00am East Coast USA time. That was different but still fun. Bshan, did you try to come on this past weekend? Brooke?

The Teamspeak server uses port 8767 (UDP) by default. Most of the setup is very straight forward. Just install and start up the server, then right-click the icon in the system tray and choose administration. Log in using the admin login and password you create during installation, and then you can set up the server name, set passwords etc. Client for Windows can be downloaded here (5.6MB) Server here (1.5MB) Teamspeak homepage is www.goteamspeak.comI could host if I was playing (as I recall, Brooke even has a channel set up on my server), but timezones would still work against us... If you'd all learn to accept BST instead of EDT things would be fine!

i've been busy gettin in trouble and such things that us teenage boys do, so i haven't gotten a chance to drop by over the weekend :-( add to that work and what-not i'm grounded for a week though, so i'll have a bit more time now =) yeah, the only version of vent that i have is 2.1.1, but thats on my old computer that is currently missing many parts to it, so i cant leave a host program running

If you'd all learn to accept BST instead of EDT things would be fine! Ah... We all moved out a few hundred years ago for a reason! We wanted our own time zone!! (Along with a few other reasons!) I know that I (along with Trav and Lu) be up for some games some time....

Nice refresher course and complete with links to make the job easier. Much appreciated. I put up the server version that Gav has linked to and my TS client is able to connect. So, we have a GR server (when it feels like running) and comms for now. It's a tired old PC and I hope it manages to hang in there. Comms IP is same as GR server: 69.250.99.32

Well you know I host Vent 2.1 whenever I'm around...its the old one that has no user limit. So is the mini-server back up and running? Did you figure out if I broke it? Lol...can you get me that server access thingy that I can pull up on the internet? I liked that. Lol ok, I should be around some nights. If Bshan is online just have him call my cell and then I'll come play if I can. Seeyaz peeps.

I kept getting a message that I had no privilege for that operation. What? No privilege to start GR? LOL, bad when the machine says "No way, bud." Anyway, it's back up and running (last I checked) and yes I have that server access thingy running. Brooke see pvt message for port info etc etc. The server currently lives at Lep's house so there are days when I cannot physically access it to correct a malfunction, so let's play on it and see how it behaves. So we have lots of comms, newest TS and oldest Vent. Good combo. Dust off youir mics and lets see who can make the most static (and crash the server, lol.) See yas....
