Hi
A friend (yes, I do have one... I pay him) is trying to connect to my TS server. Once I turned off ZoneAlarm he was able to connect (I have the correct port forwarded on my router) but at MY end I hear a rather loud echo of my voice, with about a 1 - 2 sec delay.
I have been using TS here over my home network for some time now and my girlfriend was able to successfully connect when she was out of town over the hotel's network. No echo.
As soon as my friend disconnected, the echo stopped.
Anyone have any ideas??
Please!!
AJ

your friend was, maybe not using headphones, but you were hearing yourself, from his speakers.

He was using a headset but didn't turn off his speakers. And he also had voice activation on.
Once the voice activation was turned off, the problem went away. He has his headset plugged (both audio and mic) into his speakers. Somehow the audio was getting fed back into his speakers and then into his mic.
Thanks for the help, Sarge.
I guess you are the only one visiting this forum.

AJ since teamspeak has just become available for Mac (Ventrilo as well) i can answer your question. in preferences(audio) make sure voice loopback is off, it's a check box i believe
