Obsidian Edge Features Revealed

In an effort to help folks understand what the Obsidian Edge Mod is, I'm posting some useful descriptive information today. Bear in mind that we have a few special features that we are keeping secret until release, just for fun!
Overview
-----------
Two of the the three original FarCry games (Assault/FFA) play the same as before with the exception that incorporated in the game play are the new features of the mod. When playing the mod, the “original” FarCry maps are also available for play. If you have played these games previously, you will already be familiar with the game interface, but prepare yourself for the next step. If you are new to this type of game play, get ready for the edge-of-your-seat action. However, review the manual as many changes and additions have been made. There are new weapons, new kit load outs, new soldier classes and much more.
The Obsidian Edge Mod is an enhanced game play of the existing two FarCry game types and three new game types with many new features. You will be required to lead assaults on defensive held positions, seek out and eliminate hostiles, or fight for your own life. In any circumstance you will need to outfit yourself with weapons and equipment, plan your/team actions and then execute to achieve the objective. The world of Obsidian Edge is extremely unforgiving. Be ready to test your nerves and wit against opponents who are just as hyped to eliminate you as you are to eliminate them. As your skills sharpen, so do theirs. As your adrenalin rushes, so does theirs. As your teammate rush in, so does theirs. As you put them in your crosshairs, so do they. Who pulls the trigger first?
The Obsidian Edge Mod includes these features:
Gameplay
-----------
Two of the original Farcry gametypes: Free-for-all (FFA) and Assault.
Three new game types: Last Man Standing (LMS), Very Important Person (VIP), and Domination.
Bullet damage spin (when hit by bullet, you get spun slightly in reaction to the hit).
Static or Random spawns. Random allows four sets of spawn points to be selected randomly.
First person weapon view can be on or off, as an individual user option.
Four classes of soldiers: Rifleman, Demo/Engineer, Support and Sniper.
Player lives can be limited from one to infinite server-side.
Night vision goggles (NVG), flashlight and binoculars are standard kit items for all players.
Binoculars do not have the standard Farcry motion tracking and sound enhancement abilities.
Dead players can only spectate live players on their own team.
Identify Friend or Foe (IFF) markers can be switched on or off server-side.
Teammates names always appear if your gun reticule is on them. Enemies names never show.
Lockdown mode can allow or prevent late joins to either team server-side.
In-game command map view.
Mapcycle can be set on or off, as well as specifying the number of repeats for each map.
Walk speed, run speed and stamina are realistic.
Realistic damage models.
More realistic night vision.
Kit selections and ammo load outs are balanced and realistic.
